An internship at the Art Center led Cheri to Mendocino in 1977. Her daughter, Jamie, was born in Mendocino and attended all the local schools. With her knowledge that is obtained only through extensive experience and in-depth understanding of the area and local market, Cheri works to provide you with maximum results and a smooth transaction. She is passionate about helping clients and achieves great satisfaction from understanding her clients’ goals, negotiating deals, building long term relationships and exceeding expectations. She has the ability to put herself in her clients’ shoes, having personally bought, sold, renovated and owned homes. This allows her to understand her clients’ preferences and to meticulously target their needs. Her contacts with service providers, including professional photographers, and her excellent rapport with other agents brings clarity and civility to the daunting task of buying or selling a property. Clients appreciate her honesty, enthusiasm, and creative approach to problem solving.
Cheri has been a full time, professional realtor since 1988 and upgraded her license to real estate broker in 1993. She served as chair of the local MLS in 1995 and as president of the Coastal Mendocino Association of Realtors (CMAR) in 1996. In addition, she has served on the local historical cemetery board for over 15 years.
On the personal side, in 2016 Cheri married her husband, Peter, and they reside in his circa 1875 family home in Mendocino Village. She has a large organic garden and cans/preserves her bounty. Cheri is proud of the fact that many of her clients have become long-term friends, reflecting the trusting relationships she builds with them.
